somehow this came into mind when i was looking through the foc photoshoot and saw kaijie's photo with the hat, feathered boa and vintage briefcase. it's probably the only thing i can recall now from the com206 readings.
seniors' camp tomorrow. today, or specifically, in six hour's time if you're feeling picky. it's sorta like a dry run of the coming freshman camp all packed together into 2 incredible days.
it shall be fun.

Have fun at camp! So are you a senior or what? (I'm not a stalker!)
Haha well we just finished our year 1, so technically we be year 2s when the camp starts. So yeah, we're seniors in this sense.
I don't understand your system, we just have year 1, year 2 and so on. I'm in year 9 now so I don't know!
Oh I'm in university year 1 currently. But before all these we have 6 years or primary school, 4 years of secondary school (your O levels equivalent), and either 2 years of junior college (A levels equivalent) or 3 years of polytechnic.
Oh, that makes sense! And do you still call them O levels? We just call them GCSEs. So you're in your first year of junior university? We just call that sixth form. So how many A levels are you taking?
Yea. They haven't changed the names for a really long time.
I did my A levels already. Finished with the cambridge system haha. Took biology, chemistry and maths. Then there's general paper. (english) Is that what it's called in UK as well?
Yeah, that's what we call it here. I want to do chemistry, english and biology for A levels aswell, but instead of maths I want to do Spanish.
I'm rubbish at maths, can't wait to drop it! But I want to be a dentist so I hope that you don't need maths.
It depends on the universities on your side I guess. You can check it out first before you make your choice. For our side taking math, physics and biology gives us pretty good odds to get into dentistry, but hey, nothing is set in stone. I spent 10 years doing science and now I'm doing an arts degree.
That's really cool, the deciding to do art bit. I like art a lot but I am not that good, and we get 5 hour long homeworks and at the end of the year a 15 hour exam. So next year I'll not be doing it anymore. So, do you want to be an artist now?
By the way, random question #1: Do you speak english with everyone or do you speak.... Singaporean?
I am only asking because your blog is in english.
Random question #2: You said on your blog, you like watching Anime, so what anime do you watch?
It depends a lot on interest I guess. And I didn't get to do arts before 'cause my secondary school wanted to push as many students to do science as possible. But I'm not that good at it.
Yup I speak English and Chinese. But mainly English 'cause of the multi-racial culture here.
Do you watch anime too? I've watched quite a few. Like Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Last Exile, Peacekeeper Kurogane, Inuyasha, (sadly didn't finish it though)Shaman King, a bit of Bleach, Gundam Seed etc. Less of the long-running ones 'cause they tend to drag the storyline.
I tend to like manga more though, because there is hardly any English dubbed/subbed anime. And normally the manga is better anyway. But I like Shaman king as well, I haven't watched Bleach because it is just too long. I like either fighting or romance....mostly romance. XD, I'm a total girl!!
But I like DragonBall Z, I don't know if that counts as a anime though. It's more for kids, but I still like it!
There is going to be a DragonBall film, with real people if you watch it.
Yea the storylines of mangas are usually more developed than their anime counterparts. They cut off quite a chunk for the Shaman King anime.
I think Dragonball counts haha.
Oh if you like romance do you read CLAMP then? I'm reading Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles which is drawn by them. Love the artwork.
I haven't read Shaman King, only watched the anime. So I wouldn't know what was cut out. As I told you, I like romance and comedy, so I've watched Kare Kano, Fruits Basket, and I've read the manga for them even though there are about 21 to 23 books each.
I love the artwork as well, I try to draw people like that, I know I'll never be as good as that.
Hah well, I can dream...
I've never read CLAMP, is it good? Also, have you got any good comedy animes that I could watch?
Well I've only read one out of their many series, so I can't really say about the rest.
You could try Azumanga Daioh. It's a story of this group of Japanese schoolgirls as they go through school life. It's pretty funny.
Cool, I'll check it out but would it be in English?
There're some with English fansubs.
Cool beans, I try it on youtube and see what comes up. Some fansubs aren't that good, but I hope this is!
